EVOC Courses

 

1 - Day Civilian Dual Purpose Motorcycle
This program is designed to teach basic on and off-road riding skills to students. This training covers much of those skills taught to police dual purpose motor officers.

1-Day Civilian EVOC Safety Course
This course is designed to instruct civilians in good defensive driving tactics. Heavy emphasis is placed on skid recovery, loss of control recovery, control during a blowout, and operating on less than ideal surfaces.

1-Day Fire EVOC / Basic Skills Update
The students will demonstrate a working knowledge of driver skills by successfully driving such courses as the Skid Pan, Hazard Avoidance Simulator, Threshold Braking, Offset Alleys, Serpentine, Code-3 Operations, and others.

24 Hour Driver Awareness Instructor (DAI) Course
This course is designed to meet the POST requirements for Driver Awareness Instructor training (D.A.I.).

40 Hour Driver Training Instructor (DTI) Course
This course is designed to meet the POST requirements for Driver Training Instructor (D.T.I.).

ATV/UTV Rider - Law Enforcement - 4 - Hour ATV/UTV Utilities Course
This course is designed to instruct Law Enforcement, Military and Search and Rescue (SAR) in the safe use of an ATV/UTV's ancillary equipment.

ATV/UTV Rider - Law Enforcement - 4 Hour Basic ATV/UTV Operators Course
This course is designed to instruct law enforcement, military and search and rescue personnel in the safe use of ATV's for both enforcement and search and rescue operations.

Driver Training (EVOC) Update - 1-Day Basic EVOC Update
This 8-hour course is designed to instruct law enforcement personnel in the lawful requirements of operating an emergency vehicle under normal patrol, pursuit and 'Code 3' conditions.

Motorcycle - 80 Hour Dual Purpose Motorcycle Training Course
This course is designed to teach basic motor skills, judgment, safety, proficiency and patrol procedures for the on and off road motorcycle trainee to become qualified as a dual-purpose motor officer.

Motorcycle Skills Orientation Class
This course is designed to evaluate and prepare the entry motorcycle officer prior to basic motor school. The purpose of the course is to ground students with motorcycle fundamentals using a one on one student to instructor ratio.

Motorcycle Training - Basic 80 - Hour Motorcycle Training Class
This course is designed to teach basic motor skills, judgment, safety, proficiency, and patrol procedures for the motorcycle trainee to become qualified as a motor officer.

Motorcycle Training Instructor - 80 Hour Motorcycle Instructor Course
This course of instruction allows the student to teach all facets of motorcycle operations relating to cone patterns, evasive manuevers, braking control, and solo and pairs riding.

Pre-Academy / Remedial Driver Training Skills
This course is designed to prepare incoming recruits for Law Enforcement Academy Driver Training and/or provide remeidal training for recruits who have failed Driver Training (EVOC) at their Academy.
